Aug 11, 2023: Jack Lahr forwarded an email he recently received: Subject: S0S Skippers - Knapps Narrows I'm out of Oxford so I'm very familiar with Knapps. I've been through Knapps a several times over the last few months. Once inside there is plenty of water, where there is supposed to be water. However, the approach from the bay side will make you sit straight up in the chair. Honor those green markers ! I draw 6ft so skinny water is not my friend. It is close but passable and at high tide not a problem. If however, we have an exceptional low tide it will be a nerve-wracking experience. To their credit, the Corp straightened out that nasty dog leg in the channel. The Choptank side is a straight away out to the dolphins with 7ft+. |
